Project Lead / TD

Created many quadruped rigs for animal animations. Developed several pipeline tools using Python. Created textures for many animals. Used Shave and a Haircut to create animal Fur. Setup lighting for various scenes. Created particle systems for swarms and fluid effects. Did a number of animal character animations, and managed the animation pipeline. Setup and managed final renders.

Fall Out Boy - "Centuries"

Sr. Generalist / Crowd Sim TD

Worked primarily in crowd simulations using Golaem and Maya. Created and rigged Roman characters for crowd sims. Did lighting, texturing and rigging on Roman Colosseum. Handled most of the camera tracking using SynthEyes. Populated the Colosseum with crowds and setup shots for final rendering.

Worked on title sequence and various graphics for the show. This included modeling, layout, texturing, lighting, dynamics and animation for two parts of a five part title sequence. The modeling included robotic quad-copters, trains, and a wide assortment of other environmental elements. Dynamic effects included particle swarms and hair/string dynamics. Animation included camera animation and robotic animations, partially in particle swarms, and partially on robotic arm sequences. Some of the dynamics included rock slides and spray can effects, simulating paint on a surface. Lighting and texturing was a large part of my work on the entire title sequence and for many of the show graphics as well.

3DS Max Animator

Worked primarily as a 3DS Max layout and animation artist on the National Geographic Show, "Do or Die". The show covered a wide range of topics from week to week and required use of MadCar, Biped, CAT and VRay as well as some minor work in AfterEffects. All animation was done in 3DS Max. Only minor modeling, texturing and lighting was done.

Worked as a lighting and rendering TD and Supervisor on an animation series, "The LeBrons". I worked on lighting the environments and setup rendering for them. I also helped junior artists solve technical problems, and created a number of pipeline tools using both MEL and Python. The tools I created had a range of functions from complex scene rebuilding and setup, Light Rig duplication, to camera tools for the artists. Some of my work included solving more complex Nuke Compositing problems, such as setting up 3D Projection environments for artists, and solving matte and depth issues for artists.
