Sunset was the brainchild of Eddie Olguin. He called me originally asking me if I would play bass, and while I can play bass quite well, I do not consider myself a bassist. Telling him so, then asked if I played keyboard. Again, yes, but no. At last he asked me if I wanted to play rhythm guitar in his as yet unnamed band. I was looking for a new music project and was happy to join the band.
Eddie had written all of the songs, and had a specific vision for what he wanted. We played a few shows around L.A. and recorded a few songs for an EP, although it was not meant to last. At some point, Eddie decided that he really did want a keyboardist instead of a rhythm guitarist. All good. It was fun.
