Blaster is a Shotgun and Deadline integrated Playblast Utility for Maya. It allows artists to work in an optimized viewport, but still put out high quality, lit and plussed up Playblasts that can be rendered remotely in a Deadline powered render farm.
Blaster frees up an artist's computer, so they are not waiting on a lengthy, local playblast. Furthermore, once the playblast is complete, a version can be published to Shotgun, and notifications sent out from an IM utility like Slack.
The beautification settings will override the camera and viewport settings for the duration of the playblast, and return the artist to the same optimized viewport they were working in.
